Herbaria Organic Mulled Wine Spice: Unit: 60 g

Spice mix for mulled wine, punch or tea

: Description:

Herbaria Organic Mulled Wine Spice. Organic spice blend for mulled wine, punch (with or without alcohol), Feuerzangenbowle or winter teas. For a festive atmosphere and cosy warmth, with the delicate flavours of cinnamon, elderberry, clove and star anise. Whether you’re playing curling in the city park or relaxing on the sofa at home. When it’s freezing outside and the snowflakes are dancing, hot mulled wine or apple punch warms both body and soul.
Enjoy a spice blend with a gentle heat and fruity notes.

Classic spices such as cinnamon, star anise, cloves and aniseed meet slightly tart hibiscus blossoms, sweet orange peel, lemon peel and elderberries. Ginger, allspice and cubeb pepper add a gentle heat and harmoniously round off the flavour. What makes it special: all the ingredients are coarsely chopped rather than finely ground. This ensures the flavours remain clear and intense without clouding the drink.

Last year we didn't try the mulled wine spice until after Christmas Eve. This year we won't wait that long, because it's already "Oh du Fröhliche" on the 1st of Advent! The homemade mulled wine tops every bought one!

I used only 50 g instead of the suggested 70 g of brown sugar and two heaped tablespoons of Oh Du Fröhliche. Together with a dry Sicilian red wine, I had a super mulled wine after a few minutes: nicely spicy and not too sweet.

Anyone who makes mulled wine themselves knows how important the right spice blend is. In my opinion, Herbaria has it. And while it may seem a little unusual at first, it gets better every time. It definitely stands out from the rest. And I mean that in a positive way.
