: Review date:I'm sorry I can only give three stars. The fish itself is great. Unfortunately, the pepper is so predominant in the taste of the sauce that you can taste almost nothing except pepper. This means that the mango flavour is not noticeable at all; only a certain sweetness. I think this is a great pity, because the idea of combining mango and pepper as a canned herring sauce is really promising. I would be happy if the manufacturer would tinker with the sauce recipe in such a way that the fine mango aroma is merely rounded off by the pepper and not spiced to death.
Es tut mir leid, nur drei Sterne vergeben zu können. Der Fisch an sich ist prima. Leider überwiegt beim Geschmack der Soße der Pfefferanteil so stark, dass man außer Pfeffer beinahe nichts schmeckt. Damit ist auch vom Mangogeschmack überhaupt nichts wahrnehmbar; lediglich eine gewisse Süße. Das finde ich enorm schade, denn von der Idee her ist die Kombination Mango-Pfeffer als Dosenheringssoße eine wirklich vielversprechende. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn der Hersteller am Soßenrezept so basteln würde, dass das feine Mangoaroma durch den Pfeffer lediglich abgerundet und nicht totgewürzt wird.
