Fine Japanese powdered green tea

Fuku Matcha Standard. The tea that is used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Since over 800 years Zen Buddhist monks are using Matcha tea as meditational drink. Matcha tea leaves grow slowly in shaded tea plantations. The fresh leaves are dried and ground into an ultra fine, jade green powder, and finally whisked with a bamboo whisk. Matcha is the ideal raw material to produce green tea flavored treats. I have tested a few matcha teas in the last few months - the Fuku Standard is simply the best in its price range for me, with fine foam and a fresh, slightly grassy, tangy taste.

Matcha tea is very tasty, but unfortunately also a bit expensive. That's why it doesn't happen that often that I treat myself to it and therefore it remains something special. This one has a very good quality and an even better taste. And, what is also important, it dissolves very well.

This version of matcha is ideal for matcha beginners like me. It tastes really delicious and has a beautiful colour. I have a little trouble dissolving the powder, but I suppose I'm still doing something wrong. But that will come. I'll experiment with it a bit more until I buy the Premium.
