In aromatic Organic Marinade

Fontaine Organic Mussels is an ideal starter, decorative for a small buffets or just a little snack. This classic, spicy mussel marinade consists of virgin olive oil, vinegar and spices. The organic mussels grow up to 15m deep in the sea hanging on ropes that are fixes on floating platforms, so-called Bateas. The organic mussel cultivation takes place in the Ria de Arousa Fijord in Galicia (north-west Spain).
The Atlantic Ocean with its strong tidal movement and its proximity to the Gulf Stream provides the mussels with oxygen-rich water. The mussel in this nutrient-rich environment mainly live on phytoplankton. The organic mussel cultivation is in accordance with strict guidelines and is monitored continuously. After 12-18 months the mussels are harvested, washed and processed fresh.
Due to the fact that the mussels do not come in contact with the seabed they are very clean and free of sand.

Wonderful pickled mussels, which we have been buying again and again for many years. Especially as the mussels in this product are not drowned in too much marinade, as is often the case with organic products. They are packed tightly together; it's amazing how many mussels fit into such a small tin.

Wunderbar eingelegte Miesmuscheln, die wir schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder gerne kaufen. Zumal bei diesem Produkt, wie sehr häufig im Biobereich, die Miesmuscheln nicht in zu viel Marinade ertränkt werden. Sie liegen dicht an dicht; es ist erstaunlich, wie viele Muscheln in so eine kleine Dose passen.
