Even though I generally consider the quality of Farfalla essential oils to be very good and also prefer them to Primavera oils because of the expiry date on each bottle, I unfortunately have to give Farfalla clary sage oil a thumbs down. To my mind, the oil lacks any of the floral-fruity-animalic sweetness that is so typical of clary sage. The very fresh and exceedingly herbaceous smell of this oil from Italian cultivation is more reminiscent of sage. Presumably, the plants were harvested too early. - If you are looking for the typical effects of clary sage, it is better to keep your hands off this oil. - The best qualities for clary sage usually come from France.

Auch wenn ich die Qualität der ätherischen Öle von Farfalla grundsätzlich als sehr gut ansehe und aufgrund der MHD-Angabe auf jeder Flasche auch den Primavera-Ölen vorziehe, muss ich beim Muskatellersalbei-Öl von Farfalla leider den Daumen senken. Das Öl entbehrt, nach meinem Empfinden, jeglicher blumig-fruchtig-animalischen Süße, die so typisch für Muskatellersalbei ist. Der sehr frische und überaus krautige Geruch dieses Öls aus italienischem Anbau lässt eher an Salbei denken. Vermutlich wurden die Pflanzen zu früh geerntet. - Wer die typischen Wirkungen des Muskatellersalbeis sucht, sollte von diesem Öl besser die Finger lassen. - Die besten Qualitäten für Muskatellersalbei kommen in der Regel aus Frankreich.
