With a little love and patience, you will soon be able to observe the ‘first steps’ of your sprouts with pride. To ensure successful cultivation, you will find instructions and planting tips for the seeds inside the seed packet. If your sprouts get too cramped in their home, you should tear open the bag and replant the plants.

The ideal conditions for nasturtiums are a nutrient-poor and lean soil, as here in the mini garden. It needs plenty of water, but should only be fertilised sparingly.
Nasturtiums are naturally lush and excessive fertilisation can inhibit flower formation. As soon as it is large enough, you can either plant it out or bring it to flower in a mini garden. Although the flowers will be somewhat smaller, they are also a real eye-catcher on the windowsill.
