Davert Organic Pearl Couscous with Gourmet Mountain Lentils. Pearl Couscous is an oriental speciality with a mild, cereal flavour that harmonises wonderfully with the aromatic, nutty Gourmet Mountain Lentil. The mixture is quick and easy to prepare and goes well with salads, bowls, stir-fries and casseroles. Whether pure or refined - this mixture also brings creative variety to your kitchen as a side dish.
Basic recipe
One cooking bag makes approx. 2 portions as a side dish.
- Bring plenty of water (approx. 1 litre per bag) to the boil in a pan and add a little sea salt to taste.
- Place the cooking bag flat in the boiling water. Simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on.
- Use a fork to remove the cooking bag from the water by the loop and drain. Cut open the bag and enjoy the mixture on its own or process further.
Tip: For a spicy flavour, you can cook the mixture in vegetable stock or beef stock instead of water. Enjoy your meal!
