These are great, not only for dishes but also for gardening hands, in part because of the rough texture. They hold up really well, too.

I really like this soap. No scent, cleans well, and holds up well under constant use.

The dishes get clean too, but I still find the washing-up block rather impractical. The environmental sense behind it makes sense to me, but having to lather up the soap before I can rinse it off is rather annoying. And then the wet and slippery soap lies on the shelf and leaves me with soap stains. So I prefer the normal liquid dishwashing detergent from the bottle. And it foams a lot more. But at least I like the environmental idea.

Das Geschirr wird zwar auch sauber, aber trotzdem finde ich den Spülblock eher unpraktisch. Der Umweltsinn dahinter leuchtet mir schon ein, aber die Seife immer erst aufschäumen zu müssen, um dann abspülen zu können, das nervt mich dann eher. Und dann liegt die nasse und glitschige Seife auf der Ablage und macht mir lauter Seifenflecken rein. Da bevorzuge ich dann doch lieber das normale Flüssigspülmittel aus der Flasche. Und das schäumt auch deutlich mehr. Aber den Umweltgedanken finde ich zumindest gut.

I now rarely use Block for washing up - instead of foam, which obstructs the view of the dishes, it makes the water cloudy, even in small doses. But the cleaning performance is top. For washing up, I now use homemade washing-up powder made from citric acid, a minimal amount of dissolved (curd) soap and disinfecting essential oils - this also clouds the water slightly, but the dishes dry much faster on their own. For kitchen cleaning, previously done with Sonett dishwashing liquid, I find the block quite wonderful and also enormously productive. Works great with a washing-up brush, sponge and copper cloth and will be bought again when used up. :)

Zum Spülen nutze ich Block inzwischen selten - statt Schaum, der den Blick aufs Spülgut hemmt, wird hiervon das Wasser auch in gering dosiert trüb. Die Reinigungsleistung ist aber top. Fürs Spülen nutze inzwischen selbst gemachtes Spülpulver aus Zitronensäure, einer Minimenge gelöster (Kern-)Seife und desinfizierenden ätherischen Ölen - auch das trübt das Wasser leicht, das Geschirr trocknet aber viel schneller von selbst. Zum Küchenputz, vorher mit Sonett-Spüli erledigt, finde ich den Block ganz wunderbar und auch enorm ergiebig. Funktioniert mit Spülbürste, Schwamm und Kupfertuch prima und wird nachgekauft, wenn denn mal aufgebraucht. :)

My first impression: it works, dissolves dirt and grease; it just takes some getting used to, because it has to be foamed up first. But I think it's quite quick - and above all it's good for the environment, because you don't need a plastic bottle. All you need is a soap dish.

Mein erster Eindruck: es funktioniert, löst Schmutz und Fett; ist halt nur gewöhnungsbedürftig, da es erst aufgeschäumt werden muss. Aber ich finde, es geht recht schnell - und vor allem schont es die Umwelt, da keine Plastikflasche nötig ist. Man braucht nur eine Seifenschale.

After solid shampoo and solid shower gel, there is now solid washing-up liquid for the kitchen. I ordered it straight away and it's not bad at all. Problem: washing-up liquid is fine in the bottle, but I need an extra bowl for this block. Otherwise it's good.

Nach festem Shampoo und festen Duschbad gibt es jetzt für die Küche das feste Spülmittel. Ich habe es auch sogleich bestellt und es ist gar nicht mal so schlecht. Problem: Spülmittel ist in der Flasche gut aufgehoben, für diesen Block brauche ich aber extra eine Schale. Ansonsten gut.
