Chapelle Saint Pierre Organic Rouge. The aromatic centre of this red wine is a clear cherry note both on the palate and on the nose. This is complemented by the black pepper often associated with Syrah, which harmonises wonderfully with the silky, backbone-giving tannins. Anyone who has had the opportunity to stand in the vineyards below the ruins of the Chapelle Saint Pierre will recognise the terroir in the wine. There is that special ethereal spiciness of the wild Mediterranean herbs growing there and a fine fleshiness that recalls the red, iron-rich soils.
