38 years ago, three men dreamed of producing high-quality organic soy products. To realise this dream, Michael Moßbacher, Hermann Konrad and Harry Whitfort founded Byodo Naturkost GmbH in July 1985. The company is now run by the second generation of the family, the founder's daughter Stephanie Moßbacher. The name Byodo originates from Japanese and can be translated as "the shared path". The success story of the three organic lovers began with the production of organic tofu and organic tempeh in a small garage in Ismaning, Bavaria.
