I first ordered the Volanti made from durum wheat semolina and have now tried the summer spelt variety. Both varieties taste really good to me. I would describe the taste of the summer spelt as slightly nutty. Together with a tomato sauce and Parmesan, the Volanti are a delicious dinner.

Ich hatte zuerst die Volanti aus Hartweizengrieß bestellt und nun mal die Sommerdinkel Variante probiert. Beide Sorten schmecken mir wirklich gut. Den Geschmack des Sommerdinkels würde ich als leicht nussig beschreiben. Zusammen mit einer Tomatensoße und Parmesan sind die Volanti ein leckeres Abendessen.

Summer spelt (emmer) should not be confused with spelt. Especially not when buying pasta. Because emmer is much more aromatic than spelt, in my opinion. So as an alternative to pasta made from durum wheat semolina, I can only recommend the Byodo Summer Spelt Volanti.

Sommerdinkel (Emmer) sollte man nicht mit Dinkel verwechseln. Vor allem nicht beim Pastakauf. Denn Emmer ist meiner Meinung nach viel aromatischer als Dinkel. Als Alternative zu Nudeln aus Hartweizengrieß kann ich die Byodo Sommerdinkel Volanti also nur empfehlen.

Summer spelt? Is this supposed to be a new spelt variety? True to the motto "the proof of the pudding is in the eating", a packet of Byodo Volanti Pasta went into my shopping basket. The wheat grain is alternatively called "emmer" and definitely does not taste like spelt, but slightly nutty and aromatic. If you are looking for pasta without durum wheat semolina and without egg, you should try these really delicious and long-satiating summer spelt Volanti! The curled UFO shape means that a lot of sauce sticks to the pasta. My current favourite: Volanti with creamed spinach. Dreamlike.

Sommerdinkel? Soll das vielleicht eine neue Dinkel-Sorte sein? Frei nach der Devise "Probieren geht über Studieren" wanderte kurzum ein Päckchen der Byodo Volanti Pasta in meinen Warenkorb. Als "Emmer" wird das Weizengetreide alternativ auch bezeichnet und schmeckt definitiv nicht wie Dinkel, sondern leicht nussig und aromatisch. Wer Nudeln ohne Hartweizengrieß und ohne Ei sucht, sollte diese wirklich leckeren und lang sättigenden Sommerdinkel Volanti probieren! Durch die gekringelte Ufo-Form bleibt besonders viel Soße hängen. Mein aktueller Favorit: Volanti mit Rahmspinat. Traumhaft.
