: Review date:As a hobby cook, I like to try out new recipes and then change them according to my feelings. For me, varying also means replacing ingredients with others. For example, I have replaced butter and sunflower oil with coconut oil for frying and baking. As soon as you open the jar, the unmistakable scent of coconut wafts out. Frying works exactly the same as before. Simply take the required amount from the jar with the spoon and heat it in the pan. The taste is then characterised by a slight coconut note (it really doesn't taste overly coconut). I am thrilled. For testing, I took a small 200ml jar, but in the future I will buy the larger one-litre jar because of the better price.
Als Hobbykoch probiere ich gerne mal neue Rezepte aus und verändere diese dann nach Gefühl. Zum Variieren gehört für mich auch, Zutaten durch andere zu ersetzen. So habe ich mich beim Braten und Backen von Butter und dem Sonnenblumenöl getrennt und dafür Kokosöl eingesetzt. Schon beim Öffnen des Glases verströmt der unverwechselbare Kokosduft. Das Braten funktioniert genau so wie bisher. Mit dem Löffel einfach die benötigte Menge aus dem Glas nehmen und in der Pfanne erhitzen. Der Geschmack zeichnet sich dann durch eine leichte Kokosnote aus (es schmeckt wirklich nicht übertrieben nach Kokos). Ich bin begeistert. Zum Testen nahm ich ein kleines 200ml Glas, zukünftig kaufe ich aber das größere ein Liter Glas wegen des besseren Preises.

For example, I like to refine my vegetable curry with it, because it enhances the taste of coconut dishes. The oil is quite solid and has nothing to do with the term oil. The consistency is more like clarified butter or margarine. However, I can't say that it has a neutral taste, as described below. You can taste the coconut flavour. I would therefore not use it for every dish. When heated, it smells deliciously of coconut macaroons and Christmas baking. Like the previous speakers, I haven't used it for body care yet. But it is an interesting idea.
Eine tolle Alternative, gerade für die asiatische Küche. Man kann das Kokosöl wunderbar zum Kochen und Backen verwenden. Ich z.B. verfeinere damit sehr gerne mein Gemüsecurry, denn es unterstützt toll den Geschmack von Kokosgerichten. Das Öl ist recht fest und hat eigentlich mit dem Begriff Öl nichts weiter zu tun. Die Konsistenz ist eher wie Butterschmalz oder Margarine. Dass es, wie weiter unten beschrieben, einen neutralen Geschmack hat, kann ich aber nicht unterschreiben. Man schmeckt das Kokosaroma schon heraus. Ich würde es daher nicht für jedes Gericht verwenden. Beim Erhitzen riecht es lecker nach Kokosmakronen und Weihnachtsbäckerei. Zur Körperpflege, wie meine Vorredner, habe ich es bisher noch nicht verwendet. Ist aber eine interessante Idee.
