Bingenheimer Saatgut Seeds of Organic Porthos Celery. The Porthos variety is a bolt-resistant celeriac for a long cultivation period. The large, round tubers have a smooth, light-coloured skin and the foliage grows strong and upright. Strong, aromatic celeriac flavour.

Application:

Pre-cultivation: Beginning of February to end of March.
Planting: Beginning of April to end of May.
Harvest: From the beginning of August to the end of October.

Tip: Growing celeriac requires some experience, as cultivation is not easy. Cover the seeds only very thinly and cover the sowing container with transparent film or glass. Germination time 2-3 weeks at 20 °C. Pricking out produces stronger young plants.
