Bingenheimer Saatgut Organic Herbal Tea Gardening Box. From a total of 5 different seeds, a flavourful, fragrant and colourful variety of tea herbs can be grown. Whether in the garden, raised bed or balcony box, the herbs can be harvested fresh throughout the summer or dried for winter storage. Fresh lemon balm, spicy thyme, soothing camomile, aromatic lemon basil and decorative marigold blossoms provide a balanced tea composition. All varieties can of course also be enjoyed on their own, used as a spice herb or be admired in a flower vase.

Sowing in the field: Beginning of March to end of August.
Flowering: Beginning of June until end of October.

Tip: The edible blossoms of marigolds can be easily prepared in salads. They are not only decoration, but also give a very special taste.

Thyme:
Pre-growth: Mid-March to end of April.
Planting in the field: Beginning of May to end of June.
Harvest: Mid-July to end of November.

Plant spacing: 30 cm.
Sowing depth: Light germinator.
Tip: Fresh thyme can be harvested all year round. For winter storage, it is best to harvest in autumn. Simply place on paper in a warm, airy place or hang up.

Camomile:
Sowing in the field: Beginning of April to end of June.
Flowering: Beginning of May until end of September.

Plant spacing: 20 cm
Plant height: 10-50 cm
Tip: The flower heads are collected at the time of full flowering on a sunny day at midday and dried in an airy room or at temperatures up to 40°C. Do not turn the flower heads.

Lemon basil:
Pre-growth: Beginning of April to end of May.
Planting in the field: Beginning of May to end of June.
Harvest: Beginning of June to end of September.

Plant spacing: 30 cm.
Sowing depth: Light germinator.
Tip: When harvesting, do not cut the single leaves but whole shoot tips. The plant then branches out in the leaf axils and forms more leaf mass.

Lemon balm:
Pre-growth: Mid-March to end of April.
Planting in the field: Beginning of May to end of June.
Harvest: Mid-July to end of October.
Row spacing: 40 cm.
Plant spacing: 50 cm.
Sowing depth: Light germinator.
Tip: In the kitchen, it can be used in many ways wherever a lemon flavour with no acidity is desired.
