Berk White Sage: Unit: 30 g

For incense on charcoal and sieve

: Description:

Berk White Sage. White sage grows mostly in the sunny California. Its fragrance is rather tangy. Light the incense at the tip and fan it out. Move the bundle slowly through the air. The rising smoke fills your premises and nose with an intense fragrance.
In principle, there are two ways of burning incense:
1. Burning incense on glowing coals.
You need a fireproof vessel and possibly some sand.
Nowadays, the most popular type of charcoal is the self-lighting charcoal. It is easy to use because it ignites itself once lit. But here, too, care should be taken to ensure that the charcoal gets enough air all around during the ignition process. It is better to put the round tablet on its edge (especially when smoking on sand) so that it gets enough air for ignition. As soon as grey spots become visible on the edges of the charcoal, you can turn it around.
Now the fun of burning the incense can begin. Dose carefully at first, as the smoke volume can be enormous with both resins and herbs.
Another option is the Natur Pur - incense charcoals. These are pressed herbs that even produce a pleasant scent. The herbal charcoal glows slowly and gradually burns away the resin on it. So if you find the effect of black charcoal too intense, you can try the more gentle herbal charcoal. It is best to smoke the herbal charcoal on a reticulated vessel, as it gets more air to glow through than on sand.

2. Burning incense on a sieve with a tea light
The other way is to burn incense over a tea light with a sieve. This method is based on aromatherapy. A very fine sieve is placed at a distance of about 5 to 10 cm above a tea light. Aroma lamps from which you can remove the bowl and replace it with an incense sieve or incense burners specially made for the sieves are suitable for this purpose. The herbs or resins are placed directly on the sieve. The rising heat of the candle flame causes them to slowly burn. Caution: If the screen gets too close to the candle, herbs or resins could ignite. Please do not leave unattended!
