Beltane biofix Chili con Carne. It has never been so easy to dish up the fire and temperament of Mexican cuisine. Seasoning is done in two steps: At roasting and at cooking!
Recipe Chili con Carne
Ingredients (2 persons)
  • 1 pack Beltane biofix chili con carne
  • 200 g mincemeat
  • 50 g of tomato paste
  • 1 can red beans (about 255 g drained)  
  • 200 ml water
Preparation
  1. Rinse beans in a colander, prepare water.
  2.  Give one to two tablespoons of cooking oil along with spice mix 1 (small sachet) in a frying pan. Then heat hotplate. Once the spices excude scents in the air, add mincemeat and fry .
  3. Add beans, water and  spice mix 2 (large sachet) and tomato paste and finish cooking with the lid closed for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Tip: Serve with baguette or wholemeal bread. Also delicious as a filling for tacos and wraps.

I don't know of any other mixture for chilli con carne that could even come close to the one from Beltane. The 2-bag concept is great and gives the chilli much more flavour.

We tried the Chili con Carne from Beltane yesterday. There are two different sized bags of spice mixes in the pack. The first one goes into the pan with the hot frying oil. According to Beltane, these are the heat-resistant spices. After 1-2 minutes they smelled very pleasant. That was the signal for the minced meat. After this was fried, kidney beans, corn, water and tomato paste were stirred in. The second Beltane spice mix was then added to the whole mixture. I have to say that it didn't convince me yet when I tasted it. But after the whole chilli con carne had thickened for 5-10 minutes, it was really good. The seasoning mix has a very low level of spiciness, but it is still not too over-tasting. We will buy the product again.

Wir haben gestern das Chili con Carne von Beltane probiert. In der Packungen befinden sich zwei unterschiedlich große Tüten mit Gewürzmischungen. Die erste kommt in die Pfanne mit dem heißen Bratöl. Laut Beltane sind das die hitzebeständigen Gewürze. Nach 1-2 Minuten rochen die sehr angenehm. Das war das Signal für das Hackfleisch. Nachdem dieses angebraten war, wurden noch Kidneybohnen, Mais, Wasser und Tomatenmark mit angerührt. In die gesamte Masse wurde dann die zweite Beltane Gewürzmischung gegeben. Ich muss sagen, dass es mich beim Abschmecken noch nicht überzeugt hat. Nachdem aber die gesamte Chili con Carne 5-10 Minuten eingedickt war, war es wirklich gut. Die Würzmischung hat einen sehr geringen Schärfegrad, der aber trotzdem nicht zu überschmecken ist. Wir werden das Produkt wieder kaufen.
