Two people with a pioneering spirit, an oven and a bicycle - with these “ingredients” began the success story of Barnhouse in 1979. In the kitchen of their Munich apartment, Neil Reen and Sina Nagl baked their first organic crunchy muesli, which was delivered by bike to the few organic shops in Munich: Krunchy. Baking sheet after baking sheet with a daily output of 4 kg. In the first 10 years, Barnhouse grew rather slowly - until the rooms became too small and the assortment too large. Things started to gain momentum in 1998, when a Krunchy bakery was set up in its own building - approx. 80 km from Munich. Today the organic pioneer produces in the Upper Bavarian town of Mühldorf am Inn over 20 tons of Krunchy and other breakfast cereals every day with undiminished passion.
