Aries Mottlock Mottcontrol Textile Voucher. This voucher card can be sent directly to Aries by post and then you will receive beneficials insects against clothes moths.

In nature, all living creatures have their natural enemies. For decades, beneficial insects have been bred specifically for horticulture and agriculture for pest control. Aries uses the tiny wasps of the species Trichogramma evanescens successfully against food moths and clothes moths.

The beneficial insects lay their eggs in the moths' eggs, killing them. After 8-10 days, a new generation of beneficial organisms will slip. As soon as there are no more moth eggs, the beneficial organisms also disappear. A control interval consists of 6 beneficial organisms in a two-week cycle. Simply fill in the Aries voucher on the inside and drop it in the mailbox. For 6 m² / 6 drawers / 6 shelf meters.

Application period: In total, you will receive 6 deliveries with 6 cards each of fresh wasp eggs from Aries every two weeks (= 36 beneficial insect cards in a period of 12 weeks).

Instructions for use: The beneficial organisms are sent fresh by the manufacturer Aries for each application. The dispatch takes place by letter post. The Mottcontrol Textile Voucher cards each contain around 2000 eggs of the parasitic wasps that have been bred specifically for the household. The Mottcontrol cards should be distributed as soon as possible. The cards are distributed near the affected / endangered textiles: only here can they work, because only here do the moths lay their eggs, which parasitize the parasitic wasps! As a rule, a card is sufficient for a shelf or a closed cabinet compartment. The beneficial insects hatch from the side slits of the cards over a period of about two weeks and immediately start looking for moth eggs. After about two weeks you will receive further cards with these replace the older 'used ones'. The application period of approx. 12 weeks (6 deliveries at two-week intervals) is necessary, since pest development from egg to moth takes place during this time. Since the beneficials only kill the eggs of the moths, cards must be brought out until all the existing caterpillars and pupae of the pest moths have developed into moths. The eggs of these moths are then paratized, which prevents the next generation of pests.

1. Distribute the Mottcontrol card immediately upon receipt - one card is sufficient for a shelf or a closed cabinet compartment (approx. 1 card per square meter).
2. Place the cards directly on shelves or cupboards and do not press them.
3. Hold the card only on the perforated side and do not open it.
4. Do not use together with insecticides or repellents.

Period of application: 12 weeks (you will receive 6 consignments from Aries every two weeks).

Additional measures: Once you have moths in your closet, you have to clean the closet thoroughly, whereby other textiles stored there must be checked for infestation. You can find tips on treating infected textiles in the pest library at www.aries.de. Storage in (not too thin) plastic bags or so-called under-bed drawers offers a certain protection. Security is only in the basement.

Note: The effectiveness of Mottcontrol is limited in a damp environment and at temperatures below 15 °C.

What you shouldn't do: Since these are small creatures, you cannot store the tricho cards. If you are still unable to lay out the cards immediately, you can keep them in the envelope for up to 2 days in the refrigerator (8-10 °C or bottom compartment). You shouldn't distribute the tricho cards all over the apartment because 'the motts fly everywhere'. The use of Mottcontrol only makes sense in the immediate vicinity of infected and endangered textiles. If you are unsure, ask Aries for advice. You shouldn't be surprised if you don't see any beneficials: since the tiny ones are very discreet, hatching wasps can practically only be found on the cards. Do not become impatient: For technical reasons, it can take 5-10 days between ordering and the first delivery. Due to the mode of action, the success of the control is often only visible very late - sometimes only after the delivery has been completed. Mottcontrol doesn't act quickly, it has a lasting effect! The little helpers are naturally very sensitive. Therefore, please do not open or press the cards. Do not feed - the parasitic wasps only eat as larvae - in the moth egg! Do not use chemical insecticides at the same time - these also kill the beneficial insects. Simultaneous treatment with essential oils is also not recommended.
