Prepare the filling and season it. Prepare a deep plate with warm water. Place each rice paper sheet in the water for 30 seconds. Put 2 tbsp of filling on each rice paper sheet, fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Serve the rolls unfried according to taste, fry in a pan with a little fat until golden brown, deep-fry or cook in the oven coated with a little oil until crispy.

Summer rolls are an event. French, Italian, Asian culture - they all make an event out of eating together, and we should just take a leaf out of their book. Unfortunately, I don't have any rice paper to buy in my village, so I would like to emphasise the sensible hard paper packaging, which also protects such a sensitive product for transport. I can't say much about the quality: for me (/us) they are always easy to handle, there are no damaged pieces in the package and you don't notice the taste anyway. 5/5!

Sommerrollen sind ein Event. Französische, italienische, asiatische Kultur - alle machen sie ein Event aus dem gemeinsamen Essen, und da sollten wir uns einfach mal was abschauen. Gibt bei mir (Dorfgegend) leider kein Reispapier vor Ort zu kaufen, daher möchte ich hier die sinnvolle Hartpapier-Verpackung hervorheben, die so ein sensibles Produkt auch für Transportwege wappnet. Zur Qualität kann ich nicht viel sagen: Für mich (/uns) lassen sie sich immer gut verarbeiten, es sind keine Beschädigten Stück in der Packung und vom Geschmack merkt man eh nix. 5/5!

Of course, some of the moistened sheets were torn. But the fun and the creative fillings came first.

Das Reispapier ist für ruhige Hände leicht in der Handhabung. Wir kochen sehr oft gemeinsam mit unseren beiden Kindern. Denen hat es natürlich ganz besonders Spaß gemacht, das Reispapier mit den verschiedensten Sachen zu befüllen und dann einzurollen. Klar sind auch einige angefeuchtete Blätter eingerissen gewesen. Der Spaß und die kreativen Füllungen standen allerdings an erster Stelle.
