By chance I had millet on the patio - I wasn't sure if it was ok because it felt greasy - it was stored in a jar - I found out that our wild blackbirds go wild for millet; so I buy it for the blackbirds now too; I prefer the slightly finer, non-European millet myself.

Durch einen Zufall hatte ich Hirse auf der Terasse - ich war mir nicht sicher, ob sie ok sei, denn fühlte sich schmierig an - sie war in einem Glas aufbewahrt - habe ich herausgefunden, daß unsere wilden Amseln ganz wild auf Hirse sind; daher kaufe ich diese nun auch für die Amseln; Selber mag ich lieber die etwas feinere, nicht europäische Hirse.
