Just squeaky sweet, there's hardly any strawberry in it. No wonder, as it contains a whopping 54g sugar/100g product. I actually fell for 90g fruit/100g jam. It's not the 90 per cent fruit content in the end product, but the raw material. If you look at other fruit spreads, you can roughly work out that they can contain a maximum of 50 per cent fruit; gelling agents hardly carry any weight. Other brands break down the fruit content as a percentage in the list of ingredients - the products therefore look less fruity than products that only refer to the percentage in the product description, but not in the list of ingredients, because the latter must contain facts, while the former can be glossed over to a certain extent.

Einfach nur quietschsüß, da kommt kaum Erdbeere durch. Kein Wunder, da sie satte 54g Zucker/100g Produkt enthält. Da bin ich tatsächlich auf 90g Frucht/100g Konfitüre reingefallen. Es handelt sich nicht um 90 Prozent Fruchtanteil im Endprodukt. sondern um das Ausgangsmaterial. Schaut man sich andere Fruchtaufstriche an, kann man sich grob ausrechnen, dass hier maximal 50% Früchte enthalten sein können, Geliermittel fällt kaum ins Gewicht. Andere Marken schlüsseln den Fruchtanteil prozentual in der Zutatenliste auf - die Produkte lesen sich somit unfruchtiger aus als Produkte, bei denen nur in der Produktbeschreibung auf den Anteil verwiesen wird, nicht aber in der Zutatenliste, denn in letzterer müssen hatte Fakten stehen, in ersterer kann man in gewissem Maße schönreden.
