I use it for baking. It is only slightly sweet, I cannot confirm 80% sweetness. My last package was about 60% sweetness. But one must not forget: This is not a standardised industrial product. So you have to feel your way with the dosage. It is practical to dose, but I prefer to use Arche rice syrup in a jar for drinks. The powder costs about 13 euros per kg, the syrup only 9.70 euros.

Ich nehme es zum Backen. Es ist nur leicht süß, 80% Süßkraft kann ich nicht bestätigen. Meine letzte Packung lag ungefähr bei 60% Süßkraft. Aber man darf nicht vergessen: Das ist kein normiertes Industrieprodukt. Man muss sich mit der Dosierung also geschmacklich rantasten. Es ist praktisch in der Dosierung, ich nehme für Getränke aber lieber den Arche Reissirup im Glas. Das Pulver kostet pro kg ca. 13 Euro, der Sirup nur 9,70 Euro.

In addition, I find the consistency unpleasant; the rice sweetener trickles very well, but feels lumpy in the mouth - at least if you consume it as a substitute for icing sugar on a wafer, like I do...

Ich bin begeistert, dass es in den letzten Jahren immer mehr Alternativen gibt zu den herkömmlichen Lebensmitteln und probiere die Neuentwicklungen immer gern aus. Diese Reissüße erfüllt allerdings nicht meine Erwartungen: die Süßkraft empfinde ich nicht als 80%, sondern als höchstens 50%! Dazu kommt, dass ich die Konsistenz unangenehm finde; die Reissüße rieselt zwar sehr gut, fühlt sich aber im Mund klumpig an - zumindest, wenn man sie wie ich als Ersatz für Puderzucker auf der Waffel verzehrt...
