Bioladen Organic Virgin Coconut Oil in a family-sized 950ml jar. This virgin oil, extracted by cold-pressing from freshly dried coconut flesh, gives dishes a subtle hint of coconut. The coconut oil is produced, processed and bottled directly in Sri Lanka. Cracking open the shell and removing the brown husk is a labour-intensive process carried out by hand on site.

At room temperature, virgin coconut oil remains solid and can be used straight away as a spread, just like butter. Thanks to its nutty, exotic flavour, it goes well with Asian stir-fries, curries and soups. When used in baking, it ensures a moist texture in cakes, biscuits and muffins.
