Primavera Christmas scents
Christmas is the feast of family and a festival for the palate. But most of all, Christmas is a time for return and remembrance of good times. Each scent recalls pictures of the past. Gingerbread, candles, baked apples, mulled wine, fir branches – just as one notices the smells the old times are back again: the own childhood, the old front room, which was locked on Christmas Eve, the Christmas tree, baked apples – or beloved Grandmother, who read out fairy tales. And surely the bright eyes and bounces of joy of children when Father Christmas, who had the same voice like daddy and who was really informed about the ending year – after a haltingly performed rhyme forgave everything and unwrapped gifts…
A scent is a signpost towards times that haven’t been remembered for a long time. Natural fragrances lead into well-being, contentment and inner tranquillity. No wonder that candle light and Christmas tree lead to some sentimental mood. Enjoy Christmas time with fragrances of Primavera. For example with 100% pure-nature winter fragrances, available as essential oil or air spray. But also as an out of the ordinary gift the atmospheric fragrance mixes and pleasant essential oils are highly recommended.

Primavera face care neroli cassis
Life leaves its traces. The visible signs are found on our skin, most articulated most likely in the face. This can not be avoided, but it can be manipulated. About one third of the visible changes in the human face rise from lifestyle. Unresolved stress, regular alcohol consumption and extensive smoking can be seen in the face, as well as active exercises in the fresh air, balanced nutrition and wilful joy of life. The older one gets, the longer the skin needs to regenerate. Fat production of sebaceous glands goes down, the skin accumulates less moisture and wrinkles show. Therefore, skin welcomes any help coming from care products. Neroli is the name of an essential oil made from orange flowers, especially fro the flowers of the bitter orange. The Princess of Nerola perfumed in the 17th century not only herself with this expensive fragrance oil, but also delighted her entire surroundings and noble guests with it. From this moment, the wonderful, flavoursome oil was lovingly called Neroli. Neroli oil is a treasure. The flowers are harvested by hand. But only the flowers are picked that are just about to open. To produce one millilitre of this essential oil, nearly one kilogram of orange flowers is needed. If one considers how light these flowers are, one can also imagine the amount of flowers required for just a millilitre. Neroli must not be mistaken with bitter orange oil. Bitter orange oil is made from bitter orange peels, Neroli from its flowers. Primavera Neroli oil is distilled from organic orange flowers. Cassis is the French name of black currant. The Cassis oil is made from black currant seed. As it is very rich of unsaturated fatty acids, it acts relaxing on sensitive skin, accelerates skin cell regeneration and supports skin’s moisture household. The Cassis for Primavera cosmetic products is grown in controlled organic farming. As for all Primavera products, the Neroli Cassis face care series does not contain any synthetic ingredients, additives or preservatives.
Primavera Neroli Cassis grooms skin with organic plant extracts, pure natural aromas from flowers and valuable vegetable oils. Further organic moisturisers support the effects of the eight Neroli Cassis care products: Acerola, Aloe Vera, almond, evening primrose, sea buckthorn, shea nut and wild rose. Primavera Neroli Cassis is a precious care series for dry skin.

Primavera Body Care Restoring – rose sea buckthorn
Roses have been a symbol of unique values like grace, beauty and love for centuries. But the “Queen of flowers” is more than that. Due to its harmonising, inspiring and sensually stimulating effects, the rose is used in many ways in grooming cosmetics. Though there are thousands of different breeds, only three of them are suitable as raw material for precious rose oil. Most sought-after are Damascus roses, which can be identified during anthesis by their heavy, bewitching smell. Even today this smell, which was already admired in The Arabian Nights, is considered to be one of the most important oriental scents. For just one litre of pure rose oil four to five thousand fresh rose flowers have to be picked carefully and distilled afterwards. A single drop of rose oil requires around thirty rose flowers. No wonder that the value of original rose oil equals the value of gold. Rose oil consists of more than 400 single components. The gently smelling, valuable essence helps the skin to keep its moisture and elasticity. In Asian traditional medicine, sea buckthorn products have been used for treating skin diseases for centuries. But first it takes some patience before the first drops of sea buckthorn oil can be won. From planting to first harvest at least six years will pass. Also the harvest of the thornful and well-fortified sea buckthorn bush itself makes the production of high-value sea buckthorn oil difficult. The rich sea buckthorn oil, which is considered to be a high-effective cure, makes it worth the trouble. The content of vitamin C of sea buckthorn is more than eight times the one of citrus fruits. Additionally, sea buckthorn oil has major contents of vitamin B12, unsaturated fatty acids and minerals. Therefore it can increase tension and elasticity of skin and protect it from accelerated ageing. Especially people with sensitive and dry skin benefit from the contents of sea buckthorn.
Primavera Body Care Restoring grooms with the balancing effects of essential oil of the Damascus rose and the regenerating oils of the sea buckthorn. Body Care Restoring aroma care products can positively influence inner balance and clear restlessness.

Primavera Body Care Cleansing – Juniper berry Cypress
In the last centuries, the juniper tree was a part of every garden. Not only its berries, but also its sprouts, the stem and its roots were used in various recipes in traditional medicine. Already in the Middle Ages, juniper was said to have extensive healing capacities. The different remedies were used to treat blood circulation problems, rheumatism, synovitis and metabolic problems. Also in cuisine the powers of juniper have been known for ages. Its smell cures from loss of appetite. When it comes to indigestive dishes, the juniper berry (mostly in form of high proof drinks) supports stomach’s work. More recent studies show also a comfortable anti-stress effect of juniper. Today, the cypress-like tree is on the list of endangered species and is protected by nature conservancy laws in Germany.
Still, its berries can be collected. Unfortunately, the sun is not strong enough in our regions to build up essential oil effective enough. The high-grade essential juniper berry oil is won in sun-kissed areas of the Mediterranean. Plants used in natural cosmetics have been known for centuries or even millenniums. They have been used as vegetable remedies or especially as food. Mineral-rich sea weed, which could be found both in sweet and salt water areas, were used as food already a long time ago. While in Asia and America this has continued until today, sea weed was rediscovered in Western Europe just recently. The reasons for this rediscovery are the positive values in terms of health, like the respective contents of carbohydrates, fat, protein as well as fibre and minerals. The Maya already used sea weed as cosmetic. It is also passed on that the French ladies of the Atlantic coast used sea weed as a regular hair rinse for strengthening the hair. Sea weed contributes to blood circulation and strengthens skin tissue.
By supplying moisture, minerals and vitamins, sea weed keep the skin’s natural balance. Also, the secret of sea weed’s astonishingly high skin-friendliness seems to be uncovered: the reason seems to be the nearly identical mineral content of human blood and sea water. Sea weed prevents the skin from accelerated and earl ageing, support skin tissue and therefore supply a softer and smoother skin. Primavera Body Line combines the vitalising powers of essential juniper berry oil with the stimulating energies of sea weed. The Primavera Body Line series was especially developed for skin suffering from connective tissue weakness. When suffering fro cellulite, catabolism is boosted and the skin’s cell regeneration in problem zones is supported. Skin looks tighter and stronger everywhere.

Primavera Body Care Relaxing – Lavender Vanilla
Primavera Relaxing grooms with the gentle forces of essential oils made from calming wild lavender and wrapping vanilla. The Primavera Relaxing line gives inner calmness and deep relaxation. Organic evening primrose oil protects sensitive skin and calms down from head to toes. Even the ancient Romans preferred to have a bath in water with fresh lavender additives. But not only for its comfortable smell lavender was so popular, also its healing powers, which were attributed to the bluish blooming plant, contributed to it. The healer Plinius the Elder used lavender essences for pain relief and for disinfection. Hildegard von Bingen praised lavender as “an herb that clears the view”. Also in the cloister gardens of the Middle Ages lavender could be found. The nuns and monks – all aware of traditional medicine – valued its pain relief effect. In aromatherapy essential lavender oil is used today to release stress and to treat insomnia. Also Primavera trusts in the balancing and harmonising effects of wild lavender. The high-quality oil is won by steam distillation from fresh-cut lavender. It supports cell regeneration and recovery of dry skin. Even today, vanilla is one of the most expensive spices of the world. This is on the one hand related to its time-consuming and labour-intensive production, and to artificial pollination on the other. For a long time, lavender could only be imported fro Mexico and Central America, as the deep chalice could only be pollinated by local bees and hummingbirds. Cultivating abroad failed a long time. Not earlier that in the middle of the 19th century a working method was found, but it required a lot of patience: Vanilla can be pollinated manually by the means of a thin stick, like a bamboo or cactus prickle. Today Madagascar and the surrounding islands are the main growing regions for vanilla. Also the vanilla, grown in controlled organic farming, used for the vanilla extract for Primavera Relaxing series comes from Madagascar. Fresh vanilla fruits do not have the typical vanilla aroma. They are nearly scentless. In a sophisticated process the vanilla capsules are first treated with steam. Only during the following fermentation the vanillin crystallises out. This process may take up to four weeks. There are many different sorts of vanilla that differ a lot from the taste of the known bourbon vanilla. Mexico vanilla, for example, has a strong savoury taste and is often used to season South American fish dishes. The hull of Tahiti vanilla has a remarkably flowery aroma. Floristically, vanilla is categorised into the family of orchids. The wonderful scent of Primavera Relaxing body care line is coined by an aromatic herbal vanilla extract, combined with additional essential oils.
Another calming and grooming component of Primavera Relaxing is evening primrose. The evening primrose is called like that, as the plant will open its straight inflorescences only at the break of dawn. At the next morning, the open flowers will fade away already. Home of this beautifully smelling, yellow evening primrose is North America. The Peruvian natives used the plant to treat skin injuries. In the 17th century the plant was introduced to Europe as an ornamental plant and spread quickly. Today the adaptable plant can be found on embankments, in stone pits and industrial zones. Evening primrose oil is rich of unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins, especially vitamin E. The unsaturated fatty acids supply the skin with moisture and support skin’s moisture household. When skin suffers from insufficient moisture supply, it will dry out. Rough or flaky skin, small fissures or even wrinkles can be the result. Is skin supplied with moisture, it will become soft and smooth again. It soaks up moisture. The effect: skin is tauter and healthier, small wrinkles disappear.
