Herbaria Organic Vanilla Powder. Hand-picked bourbon vanilla from Madagascar and the Comoros. This highly aromatic vanilla is one of the most expensive spices of the world and was used as a currency by the Aztecs already. It is a multi-purpose treasure, for meat or fish dishes, as well as for desserts. Especially valued is the so-called original bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, Reunion or the Comoros. These regions are also origin of Herbaria vanilla. The name bourbon vanilla derives from the old name of the island of Reunion: Ile Bourbon - named after the old French House of Bourbon.
