Dipam beeswax tea lights, 100% beeswax. Burn life: approximately 4 hours. Beeswax has been one of the most precious materials for ages. Its colour reminds of gold, its smell is noble and familiar. Processed to candles, beeswax radiates warm light, generating a comfortable and homely atmosphere, generates cosiness for a personal talk and rouses a bright children’s smile.

Did you know that bees have to visit nearly 5 million flowers and travel a distance that equals two and a half times earth’s circumference for just one table candle? In the summer months, around 60,000 bees live in one beehive. The worker bees collect sun’s energy in form of nectar and pollen and convert them in their bellies into wax. Afterwards they emit this still colourless wax for building honeycombs. Its golden-yellow colour and distinctive smell the wax will only get later, caused by contained pollen and nectar.

Dipam beeswax candles have been hand-made in a small manufactory for more than 20 years. They are granted free of additives. Selected raw waxes are filtered at Dipam and carefully processed into a large candle portfolio. Similar to honey, colour variations are possible. These variations refer to the wax’ pureness. White beeswax was once produced by bleaching in the sun. Today, the naturally coloured wax is brightened up with clay and active carbon and later on filtered to keep its ivory colour.

After some time and especially at low temperatures, a matte coating may appear on the candle’s surface. This natural coating is a sign of the beeswax’ authenticity. The fine coating layer can be easily removed with a soft cloth. Beeswax candles of Dipam burn without dripping, when properly used, and delight with their long life time.
